aorus b450 elite ryzen 7 3700x not booting at all

I recently upgrade from a Ryzen 5 1500x to a Ryzen 7 3700x, i recently got the cpu and tried installing it but when I try to turn my pc on nothing boots, my motherboard lights dont come on and my fans dont start up. Im guessing its DOA but i wanted some others input just in case. There are no bent pins and the bios is updated, my ryzen 5 1500x also works on it just fine.

didnt mean to when i created my account my post didnt post so i thought it messed up so i did another one i was looking for a way to delete my first one but i dont know how.  @kingfish
