AMD 2950X Crashing Low Idle

Hey All,

I have a AMD 2950X that keeps constantly crashing on my build. Always happens on low idle, when first starting up, and whenever falls asleep. I just tried the OCCT stress test on the CPU and when I run it, immediately the computer crashes with a BSOD. Funny thing is when I'm generally under load the computer runs fine. Tried changing the "Typical Idle" speed in Bios, but that didn't do anything either... Seems to be a voltage problem or a smoked CPU.

I have swapped the motherboard, the ram and just about everything else - seems like it could be the only culprit??

Here is my build

Ryzden 2950X

X399 Designaire

MSI RTX 2070 - 8GB

Corsair Vengance 64gb DDR4 2666mz

Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro TR4 CPU Cooler

Samsung V-NAND 970 EVO Plus 500GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD

Windows 10 Pro

First thing I would do is take out all your RAM, then put it back in one stick at a time, repeating the OCCT test each time, since it seems you can reliably reproduce the problem with that program.

Copy that. Will give it a whirl and let you know. From what I've been reading up on, seems like some sort of voltage problem.

But I will start with the ram first!
