I highly recommend everyone who can upgrade from AM4 to AM5, for the ease of getting memory to run at rated speeds alone, but also because the X3D parts are simply amazing. The performance I'm getting across the board at less than 110w is an engineering marvel. No BSOD or crashes getting DDR5-6000 to run either. Well done AMD, you've set a new standard for yourselves. Keep pumping out AGESA and chipset updates and we're golden.
Just so everyone knows, AM4 AIOs are compatible with AM5.
What memory are you running?
I run the 7950x .. testing on both a Gigabyte B650M Auros Elite AX and now an ASRock B650E Steel Legend with 6000 CAS36 Gskill FlareX5 (Samsung chips) .. I had booting issues. Once I was able to get into Windows though it's amazingly fast
I just switched to 2 x 16GB Gskill Ripjaws S5 6000 CAS30 (Hynix chips) and no more boot issues
Both motherboards running AGESA 1.0.0.5c
G.Skill TridentZ 2x32 DDR5-6000, also Hynix chips. A lot of folks on all platforms are having trouble with Samsung DDR5. Expo is the safest bet.
EXPO + Hynix = safest bet

Yes, Yes they are. : - D
I've used my trusthworth 240 Ryujin on the 7950X and with some tweaking its pretty fine with temps.
Almost every AM4 cooler will work as long as they don't interfere with this backplate.
Even the retention system is same height.
Thank you for the feedback. As a user of a 7950X3D myself paired with a 7900 XTX, I can certainly echo your sentiments.
