Hi budy's
I just really New here, and I got a question. My plan is to build a PC, with Ryzen 5 7500f and with A620 chipset and with a gen 4 nvme drive. My question is that, they gonna work well with each other? And I can use the nvme ssd as gen 4 as a main drive and that is the CPU can overclock himself with between the factory range? (I wont do any overclocking) I hope these question makes sense.
Thanks for your support.
PC main components:
Ryzen 5 7500f
Gen4 Nvme ssd (only drive)
DDR 5 6000mhz cl 30 kit (16GB) (EXPO)
Kind regards
Marko3, you may want to do some more research especially what your MB supports. Please see here. John.
The processor is unlocked for overclocking if you so desire. On the Motherboard's BIOS Settings you can enable PBO which is AMD settings for safely overclocking the processor fully within its maximum factory settings though it would void your AMD 3 year Warranty on the processor.
Also you will need to purchase a GPU card since according to GURU 3D website, the "F" version of the Ryzen 5 7500 has a disabled IGPU :
Unlike some AMD Ryzen models featuring integrated graphics based on the RDNA 2 architecture, the Ryzen 5 7500F has a deactivated GPU.
According to the AMD link on the previous reply, your processor supports the following:
NOTE: Here are the specs on a Asus Prime A620-Plus (WIFI) Motherboard as an example only: https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-a620-plus-wifi/techspec/
Before you purchase a motherboard make sure the 7500F is listed on the Motherboard's CPU LIST. If it isn't listed than the processor most likely wouldn't be recognized unless the Motherboard manufacturer later on comes out with a new BIOS Version to include the 7500F.

The A620 chipset does not allow for overclocking, but it does support Precision Boost which permits the 7500F factory base clock to increase from 3.7GHz "up to" 5GHz. Note that 5GHz is a best case and depending on motherboard power limits and CPU temperatures it may never reach that high.
The A620 also supports one x16 PCIe 4.0 graphics card and one x4 PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive, as well as XMP/EXPO memory. Other PCIe lanes supplied by the chipset are only gen 3.0 and as @elstaci called out, the 7500F does not have an IGP.
