7500f PPT Problem

My A620 motherboard does not have PBO feature. But somehow my 7500f PPT is set to 75w i can not change it. It uses maximum 58w while gaming and it bottlenecks 7700 xt while playing 1440p Space Marine 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and all cpu intensive games.resim_2024-09-13_183346345.png

This is how it looks during Prime95 Small FFTs.

Straefer, what processor do you have (7700 xt)? List all your parts and post a complete screenshot of Ryzen Master (RM). Open a support issue with your MB vendor. John.

CPU: R5 7500F, GPU: 7700 XT, RAM: 16 GB DDR5 5600MHz CL46, MOBO: Gigabyte A620M H, 650w PSU.resim_2024-09-13_195646428.png

If your 7500F uses a max of 58W while gaming and your PPT limit is 75W then how could that be limiting your gaming?

What specifically makes you think your 7700XT is being bottlenecked?

Because whenever i play a cpu intensive game like CP 2077 or Space Marine 2 at 1080p CPU utilization is around 80% and GPU utilization is unstable 70-80%. At 1440p it gets better but still GPU utilization is not stable around 75-95%. At 2160p everything is fine but ofc 7700 XT is not enough for that.

Have you tried any benchmarks (3DMark) to see how your system compares?

DDR5-5600 CL46 is pretty mediocre memory. Is that 1x16GB or 2x8GB?

1x16. In 3DMark Time Spy my overall score is a little higher than average 15726 but thats because overclocked 7700 XT results 18314 and my 7500f is lower than average 8733 (compared to stock ones).

Straefer, your processor supports dual channel. Running only one stick of memory eliminates this capability and cuts your possible memory bandwidth by half. John.

I agree with John. Using a single DIMM only utilizes one 64bit channel of the processor IMC. If price is a concern at least consider adding a second, identical stick. But DDR5 prices have come down quite a bit, look for a dual-channel 6000 CL30 kit.

Straefer, what makes you think the max PPC being used is 58 Watts when RM shows a full 75 Watts? The limits are set by your MB vendor not AMD. Your processor is unlocked for overclocking. I do not see an issue except what you are saying. We need to see evidence of your problem. CPU utilization is not a good indicator of what is going on on multicore processors. Again I urge you to open an issue with the MB Vendor. John.
