7040 series cache

The information about 7040 series cache is different on AMD's page.
For 7940HS
https://www.amd.com/en/products/apu/amd-ryzen-9-7940hs
https://www.amd.com/en/product/13036
thay say 8MB(L2) + 16MB (L3) = 24MB (total cache)
Below AMD's page says total cache is 40MB
https://ir.amd.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1111/amdextends-its-leadership-with-the-introdu...
Also page from tomshardware says that it has 20mb cach

Which one is true for 7040 series cache ?

That chart is most likely based on the same charts as AMD Charts.

Like I mentioned the APU just came out this month so there really isn't a good chance for Tech sites to verify the specs on the 7000 series laptop processors.

Also AMD themselves might need to update the specs on all the new laptop APUs once it has been out for while with all AMD websites that mentions the newest APU processors.

Which can explain the confusion concerning the specs between various AMD Support sites.

Denize, you need to ask AMD what is what. Meanwhile please run CPU-Z and post a screenshot here. Thanks and enjoy, John.

Yes there does seem to be some discrepancies among several AMD and other Tech sites as far as Cache Memory goes.

At TechPowerUP for the Ryzen 9 7940HS is shows only 17Mb for the Cache total: https://www.techpowerup.com/cpu-specs/ryzen-9-7940hs.c3020

At PC World it shows the same graphics at you posted from AMD: https://www.pcworld.com/article/1444850/amd-launches-mobile-ryzen-7000-cpus-prepping-for-an-ai-futur...

Ryzen 9 7940HS: 8 cores/16 threads, 4.0GHz base clock/5.2GHz turbo; 40MB cache; 35-45W TDP

At this Laptop Review Tech site it shows a chart comparing all the 7000 & 6000 series Laptop processors: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/35985-amd-ryzen-9-laptops/

Since these laptops APU processors were just made released to the public in January 2023 it is best to just wait to see until everything is verified by both AMD and other Tech sites.

Thanks for your reply.

The confusion continues again because the information about base and max frequencies in the second table are incorrect for 7940HS. Therefore, the information is not reliable in this table
