Hello Community!
ASrock X570 Pro4, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, RAM 32 GB, Corsair CX750, Graphics : Nvidia M2000
This is a test lab ESXI
I used it for 8 months, it ran 2-3 Win 10 VMs (no high load on them).
I noticed that the host is restarting, deteriorating down to very reliably rebooting:
- if i run a Windows VM, within few minutes
- if i run"generate support bundle" command (produces a zip of 40Mb of text logs)
- if i copy big file from one drive to another
To troubleshoot this i exchanged all hdds (completely both ssd and the storage hdd) Graphics card, RAM memory modules with different ones, removed all PCI (network) cards, PSU by Corsair is also exchanged. 2 versions of BIOS (as suggested by ASRock Support department).
No components were ever overclocked (or underclocked). CPU was always cool to touch and in BIOS never above 50C
Testing with Proxmox also proved not reliable.
What fixed it is replacing the CPU with 5700X.
Any ideas is the MB or PSU could have deteriorated the CPU?
How would the CPU go down that way?
Any advice!? What is ok to trust in this config?
How to continue?
LOL this is weird situation...
I would appreciate any ideas!
