Hello Everyone, for sometime I had this color swirling issue that I noticed during video playback and I thought it was a codec issue or something. Then during gameplay I noticed it was happening in game as well. Then I thought of checking windows 10 display proporties where we choose desktop refresh rate and I noticed the option was set to 2560x1440 100hz 6-bit color . Now I have a Benq XL2730Z 1440p freesync monitor and AMD Vega 56 VGA. And I know infact I was using 1440p 8-bit 144hz refresh rate in the past over DP cable cause I would set it that way. Windows always uses the default which in mycase was 60hz and I would go and select 144hz from the menu. Dont know for how long, but I no longer have that option. I have 1080 144hz 8 bit over DP and I can use 144hz 1440 over HDMI but at the cost of no freesync as that is DP only.
Cannot set custom resolution either. Whatever I do says "settings are not correct"
So just to wrap it up,
I can do 1920x1080 144hz 8-bit over DP with freesync
I can do 2560x1440 144hz 8-bit over HDMI without freesync
I cannot do 2560x1440 144hz over DP freesync doesnt matter in this case
I've got the latest 2020 driver installed, I tried a fresh install of Windows 10 still the same. I tried an older driver still not working.

I'm not sure if this is a windows 10 thing or a hardware issue. The only thing I havent been able to try is another DP cable cause I dont have a spare.
