I am aware that modern systems are sensitive to RAM timing and that defaults for many DDR4 offerings are a tad too aggressive. I had to manually get into the deeper recesses of the BIOS to get get my old G.skill RAM working properly.
Once that was fixed then the box became more stable but game stability is still an issue. Left 4 Dead 2 crash and I had to reset the box. Then restarting the game it was reset to 800x600 so I had to reset it to my panel's native resolution. This has happened with a few games.
Assorted Windows bugs are hardly noticeable in light of hardware stability.
I would start by relaxing memory timing and see if that helps. Others who have listened to me have found a modicum of success. They agree the BIOS defaults are too optimistic.
