Updating drivers causes massive decrease in performance
I have been using the same driver version for months now. Whenever I try to update to the latest version, the FPS in games decreases significantly. If I revert back to the old version (24.5.1), my FPS increases to what it was before. I would like to be able to update my drivers, as staying on the older version is causing other issues. I don't think this should still be happening on multiple new versions. If there are any remedies I can try, please let me know.

You should try a clean install, ddu or amd cleanup utility should work and then install everything from scratch. Also remember to update the chipset drivers.

Tried using the AMD cleanup utility and updating chipset drivers to most recent; no noticeable difference from before. I have no idea what causes this or what to do.

Mine is 6600XT and well, the best smooth no laggy version for me is still 24.5.1.
Well, if you now plays only that games and no urgent to use newer version, then just use it until you done with the game.
I also want just to use 24.5.1, but Indiana Jones Great Circle wont let you use this version.
For FPS performace decrease on newer driver, I do not get that issue.
