Undervolting my 7900xt raises temps
Hey y'all so im at a bit of a loss here, i've been trying to undervolt my 7900xt but everytime i do, the temps raise instead of lower.
under load running furmark the GPU hits around 58 max with a hotspot temp of around 70-72 max.
when i undervolt it the hotspot temp will go up to like 75-76 and the gpu core temp up to around 60-61. I undervolt in increments of 25, i've only gone as low as 1025v but that also heated up the card instead of cooling it down.
What am i doing wrong ?

Maybe the card is boosting higher mhz with the lowered voltage causing it to run hotter. Your temps are pretty good either way.

If you goal is lower temps and same performance, maybe your should limit boosting while keeping less voltage.
What @silentgame said is valid even in the CPU side, sometimes giving the chip enough temperature headroom it will boost higher if allowed, thus increasing temps. (and performance, of course).
