Triple monitor setup no longer works without EyeFinity after driver update – F1 24
Hi everyone,
Since the latest AMD driver update, I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with my triple monitor setup in combination with F1 24. Previously, this worked flawlessly without EyeFinity being enabled. As soon as I entered the car, the game would automatically expand to all three screens — exactly how I wanted it. Since the update, this no longer happens.
My system:
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X (12-core)
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
OS: Windows 11
Driver version: [insert your current version here, e.g. 24.3.1]
Issue:
EyeFinity is disabled
Windows correctly detects all three monitors and is set to “extend displays”
F1 24 only runs on the center screen in 1920x1080
The game no longer activates triple screen support unless I enable EyeFinity, but doing so results in:
Major framerate drops
Input lag
Incorrect aspect ratio (zoomed-in look)
XML edits in hardware_settings_config.xml (e.g. enabling triple_head_support and custom resolution) are ignored
Already tried:
Driver reset through AMD Adrenalin
Manually deactivated EyeFinity
Edited XML files and set them to read-only
Tried Steam launch parameters (-fullscreen -width 5760 -height 1080, etc.)
Disabled Radeon Software optimizations (FSR, Anti-Lag, etc.)
Launched the game via .exe as administrator
Verified display order and primary monitor in Windows
Tested multiple resolutions in both fullscreen and windowed mode
I do not want to use EyeFinity. This setup worked perfectly before without it — F1 24 would detect the extended display setup and automatically expand to all three monitors when entering the car. That functionality now seems to be gone.
My questions:
Is this a deliberate change in the driver or a bug?
How can I get triple screen functionality back without using EyeFinity?
Are there any known workarounds, registry tweaks, or hidden settings that still work?
Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards,
Mark

It seems that AMD adrenaline is installing eye finity, not for the game but for the monitor. Strangly enough the setting was gone. Installed it again and now its working, but still not how it was. lower fps...
