Hello, I am curios about if a too high GPU clock can damage the graphics card or not. I own a 6950xt from sapphire and it is specified with a boost clock of 2435 MHz (OC Bios). However, my card clocks over 2600 MHz in complex games. Even if I throttle the card's power supply, the clock remains high. I wonder how that can be the case or is the clockspeed displayed incorrectly by the software?
Should I lower the clock manually?
Of course I want to use as much potential as the 6950xt provides, but not at the expense of durability. Any advice is appreciated.
