I have for a very long time experiensed crasches and freezes randomly, mainly when the computer is at idle.
It could take anything between 5s to 2 hours when at idle, then it freezes totaly.
It never goes to BSOD, never to Black/bluescreen, but a complete freeze, and I have to use the power switch to restart it.
It seems to have to do with the graphics one way or another.
It seems to not happen when I do a clean boot or failsafe boot.
I do not play any games whatsoever.
My system is as follows
OS: Windows 10 Pro retail 21H1 19043.1110
MB: MSI Z390 ACE Bios 7b12v1B1, same with previous 7B12V1a
CPU: i9 9900KS @5 GHz
Memory: 4x Corsair DDR4-2132 8GB (2 x CMK16GX4M2K4000C19) @xmp 4 GHz
Graphics: Radeon XFX RX590 8GB GDDR5 @1580 MHz core, 2000MHz Memory
AMD Driver: Adrenalin 21.6.1
HBA: LSI SAS2 2008 Falcon
Sysdisc: Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1 TB M.2 NVMe
When it freezes there is nearly allways an LiveKernelEvent in the logg-book.
Together with a minidump in C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WATCHDOG
They seem to indicate that the freeze is caused by DXGKrnl.sys
