Rx7600 aux power

Hi,

I installed rx 7600 on my desktop and also purchase 1000w psu to replace old one, 450w.

BTW MOBO does not support ATX 24 standard.

So psu cannot receive PS_ON trigger sig.

Alternatively I made new PSU supply aux gpu power and other powers all the time.

Problem is aux power not off when MOBO off or in sleep.

Any overheat or gpu damage due to this alter?

No, it would be no different than if the PC was left on all the time with sleep state disabled. I do this with my own PC, it stays on 24/7 and the only power sleep set is for the display.

Thanks ur comment.

Hm..  in sleep or power off, gpu fan turns off, while in display mode it turns on. I worry fan off may make some burden on GPU in my alert..

Your concern seems to be that a power supply left on all the time, is going to "force-feed" voltage to a component, such as the graphics card, causing it to be "over-volted". This is not the case.

A power supply left in an on state is similar to your home electric outlets. There is constant power available there, but it sits unused unless there is something actively drawing power from it.

I agree.
