Asus ROG Strix laptop. I have run dual monitors (with laptop closed) for 2 years. HDMI 2.0b port for one and USB (3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support DisplayPort) for other. About a year ago started having issues with laptop shutting off while gaming. Not even under heavy load, just switching screens on intros sometimes. Thought it was heat and cleaned fans put on new paste....still happening. Ran temp monitor and everything is fine. FINALLY, I figured out that if I disabled one of the two drivers it worked fine. Since then there have been 3 or 4 updates and it still happens if both are on. total PITA going into DM and turning them on and off each time. Plus nice to have the other monitor on!
