RX 6700 no video signal

Hi,

My new gpu (rx 6700) doesn't provide signal to both of my monitors after a few days of working normally and my mobo (b550f asus rog strix) is showing white led on VGA. Is my new gpu dead? I have 750W psu and i connected 2x 8 pins from 2 pcie slots. When I put back my old gpu (rx 580 8gb) it works all good like before.

I found on White VGA Light On Motherboard [SOLVED] - Tech4Gamers:

  • A white VGA light means that your GPU has trouble being recognized by your motherboard.
  • You can have a white VGA light due to a fault in your GPU, dust clogging, poor connection to the PCIe slot, and so much more.
  • You can fix the white VGA light at home by trying different ways, like cleaning your components, connecting your GPU correctly to the PCIe slot, fixing BIOS issues, etc.

Not sure what might have changed for your but possibly try the least intrusive thing, cleaning the PCI express connector (the thing that slides into your motherboard). But that might not make a lot of sense cause how would dust accumulate inside that part, right?

Did you tinker a little or do some research in the meantime?

I had exact problem on 6700 non-xt few months back. It's strange issue and I never got to bottom of what worked. but one of following fixed the issue.

1. turn off monitor and CPU.  (Not soft off but physical sw off)

2. reboot without connecting monitor, twice pr more times.

3. update driver to latest.

Hope the fault clears. Next, I Was going to try removing cmos battery and bios reset next.
