I'd been using my RX 6600 XT for 2 months when the hdmi port just stopped giving video output after a storm, so I used a DisplayPort to VGA adapter that I had been running my second monitor on and kept using my computer just fine. I ordered a new adapter for my second monitor and about a month later the first adapter seemed to have gone so I switched to the other adapter (same brand and model as the first). Then about a week ago I got home to my PC and monitor being on (I usually leave them on) but my monitor not having input. I restarted it, and it booted fine, but no video output. I re-seated RAM, CPU, and the card, and nothing. I tried a different Pcie slot and nothing. I tested the VGA cable and it was working fine. I replaced my Ryzen 5 5600 with a Ryzen 2200G, took out the graphics card and it worked fine running off integrated graphics. I ordered a new adapter (DP -> HDMI), put my GPU back in and it worked for 2 min before it green screened, I tried resetting the drivers with Shift+ctrl+win+B but it didn't work. So I restarted my pc and I haven't been able to get display again besides a green screen once when I switched pcie slots. Throughout this whole process every now and then the debug lights on my mobo would indicate a GPU problem, but most of the time the computer booted fine (mouse lighting up, fans running on case and gpu). I'm honestly at the end of my rope and don't know what to do anymore, I just wanted to play some Val
Specs:
MSI tomahawk b450m
Ryzen 2200G currently, was Ryzen 5 5600 at the time I started having issues
Team Nighthawk 16 gb 3200 MHz (2x8gb)
MSI Mech RX 6600 XT (did some overclocking but then rolled it back to factory no problem)
EVGA 450 or 500 w 80+ bronze psu
Windows 11
From what I've researched I haven't seen any other issues like this, but I have heard things about psu quality mattering, is it worth upgrading my psu? Also, is burning out your gpu's ports even a thing?
