RX 5700 HDMI isn't working

I've just bought a second-hand RX5700 from a mining rig, it's been flashed with the RX5700 XT bios, and nothing looks wrong with the card. The only issue I've found is the card will not display on Windows when using HDMI, the card works perfectly using DisplayPort.

With HDMI, the screen will display the gigabyte logo on boot, after that all I get is a black screen. The monitor does detect that the card is using HDMI. HDMI will display Windows if I uninstall the drivers, and with the new drivers, the card only works in the BIOS.

At the moment I've also tried:

-Cleaning the port with isopropyl alcohol
-Different Monitors and HDMI cables, all of them work on my 3070
-Fresh installs of the drivers using DDU
-Installing both driver versions 24.12.1 and 24.8.1. The HDMI works until I start the driver install, during the installation it displays a black screen but the monitor stays on.
-Disabling Freesync
-Setting PCIE to 3.0 in the BIOS

If anyone has any suggestions on what else I could try, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds to me that windows is detecting a second display and uses that as it's main output device.

Unplug all other monitors first and/or change the device order from within the Display Settings in windows.

You might also check if AMD adrenalin for the same options.

Another reason why this happens is that if you use multiple monitors with different resolutions, windows tend to use the monitor with the lowest resolution as it's main output.

You can manually change these from within windows itself but you might have to do some reboots for it to stick.
