A little over a year ago, I upgraded my system, including a new AIO, RAM, and GPU. Transitioning from a 3060 to a 6950xt using DDU meticulously, I changed drivers and continued without issue. However, over the past year, I encountered random and non-replicable black screens freezing my PC, forcing me to hard reset. Initially rare, I didn't pay much attention until the crashes became more frequent. Event Viewer provided no clear indication of the issue.
Suspecting my 750W PSU couldn't handle the new GPU, I upgraded to 1000W, but the problem persisted, escalating from monthly to twice a day. Even after reinstalling drivers and addressing simultaneous failures of RAM and AIO, which I replaced, the issue endured. Replacing the motherboard also proved unsuccessful. So I’ve replaced AIO, RAM, MOBO, and PSU all to no avail.
Stress tests on CPU and GPU revealed stability, pointing towards proper power supply from cable extensions. Intriguingly, certain games like CP2077 and RE4 never triggered crashes, while COD, modded Minecraft, or the Finals consistently caused crashes every 30 minutes.
In summary, my PC continues to crash to a black screen randomly, providing no valuable information in Event Viewer, despite replacing several components.
Update: I've reinstalled Windows, upgraded to Windows 11, and even formatted my C drive, yet the problem persists. Notably, specific events consistently precede the crashes in Event Viewer, as listed below, top being most recent:
