Hi, I got a new computer yesterday with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX on it but when the Graphic Card is active (powered up) I get a black screen and don't see anything, can't even access the BIOS. The computer seems to be working as I see the fans turning and the leds active.
sorry for the dumb question but is the display cable plugged into the graphics card?
No dumb question, thanks for your help! Yes I plugged the display cable to the AMD Graphic Card (tried both HDMI and DisplayPort)
See if your keyboard responds when turning on the pc with the GPU if it does see if the GPU fans are spinning and also check debug code or warning lights on your motherboard
If the keyboard doesn't respond, GPU fans are spinning and board debug light points to a GPU issue try any, a mix or all of the following
- Reseat your graphics card and make sure the power cables are properly plugged in it and the psu
- try this graphics card in an other system to rule out a DOA GPU while rare it can happen
- try a different GPU in your system to rule out a problem with it
Best of luck
Thanks for your help on this, I contacted XTX and they said that it's probably due to a problem with the card, I'll get a new one. I'll update the thread if it fixes the pb!
