Radeon Boost: wasted potential

I love the feature set of Radeon drivers even though I do not really need all of them.

I have a game which is not very demanding in general but can demand a lot of GPU in specific scenes.

Radeon Boost implements dynamic resolution (as I understand it) but only for specific case: turning or moving the viewport.

I do not need that at all, I would rather use dynamic resolution to have fixed FPS in (rare) GPU-demanding scenes.

IMO, Radeon Boost should have a target FPS setting and drop resolution to maintain it.

It seems like a very obvious use case and as I understand it it is universally used in consoles. I would love to see it in PC, the amount of development it would need is minimal.

Is it the game which sets the rendering quality dynamically or is it Radeon driver?

Even FMF could be used for that.
