R9 380x compatible to use in 11th and 12th gen desktop?

Currently I am using I5 6500 desktop.I am planning to upgrade my desktop to 11th/12th gen.Currently I am using R9 380x as a GPU.I want to know can I use this GPU in my latest upgrade?
As long as your Motherboard has a PCIe x 16 slot it should work.
The Processor really doesn't have anything to do if a GPU is compatible to a motherboard or not. Only when it comes to Performance using the GPU in combination.
