Multi Monitor Issue

I have a simple dual monitor stack setup I have liked for many years, with a sim rig and separate (3rd) monitor to the side of my home PC desk. When using an Nvidia graphics card, the 3090, I would run the two monitors for work/play etc., then when I wanted to run the sim rig I would simply turn the sim monitor on and the two on the desk off. All shortcuts would simply move to the active (on) monitor and it would simply become the main/active display.

Now with an 7900xtx this no longer works. If I turn the monitors on the desk off all shortcuts stay on the main monitors even if the dp cables are unplugged. If I try to set the sim monitor to main (i.e. display 1) it changes to the original display 1's monitors resolution and the resolution selection is greyed out. I have to remove the other monitors, restart the PC and then it works.

If there is a way to fix this, am simply missing something? Please let me know. DP 2.1 was a bit of an uplift for the G9 but this issue is not worth it.

Not sure it matters, issue only occurred with the graphics card change, but monitors in use are:

1: ASUS PG34WCDM

2: Dell U2720Q

3: Samsung Odyssey Neo G9

Thanks, Zac

Ok , I'll keep this simple (as its abit of a (but easy) learning curve vs the Nvidia setup)..... for AMD and to use multiple monitors 2 or 3 , FIRST setup your monitors in Windows (multi monitor setup) , THEN in the AMD Adrenaline software  use "EyeInfinity" to finish the multi monitor setup .

Use this AMD link to help you get started : https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/DH-014.html#DH-014-Overview

It took myself abit of learning coming from mostly Nvidia gpu's for 30 yrs to get the hang of the multi-monitor setup with AMD (I use 7900xtx and 3 monitors as one with EyeInfinity for gaming) . ~ For me EyeInfinity works great , happy with it .

Best of luck ...
