Hello, as I mentioned in the title, I am experiencing an issue.
My graphics card is an RX 7800 XT. Since I got my PC, I've been playing with a custom resolution, and I had no issues until I updated my GPU drivers to version 25.3.1.
After updating the drivers, when I launched CS, the game froze on a black screen with colored lines (orange, blue, white, purple) appearing—sometimes in a regular pattern, sometimes randomly. Even if I returned to the desktop, the issue persisted, and the only way to fix it was to completely restart my PC. I was worried that force restarting my PC frequently might damage my graphics card. So, I thought maybe the update reset my custom resolution settings. I created a new custom resolution, but the same issue occurred again. The game runs fine at 1920x1080, but when I switch to 1080x1080 and set my monitor to its highest refresh rate, the screen gets distorted. However, when I set a custom resolution with 60Hz, everything works fine. So, the problem seems to be related to custom resolutions and high refresh rates.
My System:
RX7800XT(DISPLAYPORT) GPU
AMD Ryzen 5 7600 CPU
32GB RAM DDR5
MSI B650
Odyssey G5 180Hz Monitör
I've checked everything:
-Windows is up to date. (Im using win11)
-BIOS is up to date
-I’ve never made specific settings like overclocking adjustments.
-GPU drivers are up to date.
-Counter-Strike 2 files have been verified via Steam with no issues found.
I also contacted AMD support, and they requested two files from me, which I sent. However, I haven't received a response yet.
What do you think is causing this issue?
I appreciate your replies, and thank you all in advance. Have a great time on the forums!
