I realize you are new to the AMD Forums but you most know that your question is really vague.
First I get an error message is not helpful at all. What is the error message you got?
Which version of Windows you have installed and which version of AMD Driver are you trying to install or are currently using?
If you are talking about a OEM DELL HD 8490 GPU card they are not supported by AMD Driver updates anymore since 2014.
So you need to download the correct AMD driver either from AMD download page or from Dell Support for your Inspiron 546.
Looking at AMD Download page for your OEM Dell 8490 GPU card the only AMD drivers available or compatible is for Windows 8.0 or earlier.
So if you have Windows 10/11 installed you will need to let Windows Update to install the compatible AMD driver or try using Windows 7 AMD Driver and see if it works in Windows 10/11 if that is the Windows version you have installed.
Otherwise you will need to downgrade to Windows 8.0 or upgrade your GPU card to one that is still supported by AMD drivers.
Also please post more of your Dell Inspiron 546 PC information, at least, the CPU installed, PSU, and Motherboard installed and Windows installed.
