I downloaded the amd 18.40 package(amdgpu-pro-18.40-676022-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz)  for Ubuntu 18.04 in 2018 Oct from amd.comhttps://drivers.amd.com/drivers/linux/amdgpu-pro-18.40-676022-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz

But now this package is removed from amd.com. In stead there is a similar package named amdgpu-pro-18.40-697810-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz. Since our teams's validation work is based on 676022 package, may I know how to get this version from amd.com? What's the difference between amdgpu-pro-18.40-697810-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz and amdgpu-pro-18.40-676022-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz? Thanks.

I found the version you're looking for on google on a french site called "touslesdrivers".... I'd give you the link, but my reply would go to moderation and might not show up for several hours..... just paste the name of the tar.xz file you're looking for into a google search, and the link I'm talking about should be the third result.
Personally I only trust drivers directly from the vendor or manufacturers website, but if you need a certain version and AMD is no longer hosting it themselves... it might be your only option.

Edit: Ummmm, the file downloads just fine for me from the link you provided though, so it appears AMD is still hosting it, leaving me a little confused as to the nature of your question?

I got amdgpu-pro-18.40-676022-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz from amd official release in 2018 Oct(https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-prorad-lin-18-40).

But In 2018 Dec, AMD released another 18.40 package for Ubuntu 18.04(amdgpu-pro-18.40-697810-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz) and removed amdgpu-pro-18.40-676022-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz from the release notes. So my question here is : why AMD released two 18.40 packages for Ubuntu 18.04 and what's the difference between these two packages?  Which one should be the 18.40 official release? Thanks.

BTW, the link I copied in the original message is from another thread (Can't install amdgpu-pro 18.40 on ubuntu server 18.04.01 ) It seems that somebody stored the original 18.40 package( amdgpu-pro-18.40-676022-ubuntu-18.04.tar.xz) in the external link, thanks.
