I am an absolute idiot. I have sold my gpu, and before I took it out of my pc I forgot to uninstall the software and drivers for it. And I now cannot use my pc when trying to connect it with hdmi to my monitor. Any ideas on what I can do?

If your processor or motherboard does not support IGPU, you cannot get images from HDMI.
If your processor or motherboard does support IGPU but it is turned off from the BIOS, you cannot get images from HDMI.

The reason you are not getting images from HDMI is not the display driver that was not removed.

Check you have an iGPU

Check the iGPU is enabled in BIOS / selected as the primary graphics source

Check monitor is set to HDMI source input

Boot windows in safe mode if need be

Just to clear up the previous replies, when the others mentioned IGPU they are talking about a APU (Processor with Integrated Graphics).

If you have a regular Processor and not an APU you need a separate GPU card to get video.
