Last week while working on my laptop the external monitors that are plugged into a Thunderbolt HP docking station went out.
We ran windows updates, firmware, and Auto detect with the AMD website. The monitors will come back on and work for 24-36 hours and go out again. Then we re-install the drivers and unplug and plug the monitors back in and the monitors start to work.
The laptop and docking station had worked for months and years with no issues.

I did forget to mention this problem we are having happened to 13 laptops on the same day 08/11/22
Any ideas?
Have you cleaned any dust from the laptop?
Could be an over heating problem..
I took a look and not any dust to speak of.

So what software was updated on that day?
Download and run Microsoft Safety Scanner, it finds malware and viruses Norton etc doesn't..
4 different windows updates. We uninstall them, and that did not make a difference. I was hoping to get a clue from AMD because they updated their Auto detect software and the graphics driver the next day 08/12.
I will take a look at the Microsoft Safety Scanner. We use Malwarebytes and Webroot.
Did you update the driver to 22.8.1?
I would clean that driver out and install 22.5.1 the recommended WHQL driver..
