Hi guys.
I have some issues with my AMD gpu. Today when i turned on my pc i got no signal on my monitor while the pc was turned on. However if i plug the monitor into the motherboard it works, so i can use the pc with the integrated gpu. I had the exact same issue last week, same day same time (kinda strange). What I did last time was that I deleted the drivers and after a while i got a msg from windows that my hardware has changed and that i have to restart my pc. After restart my gpu chose to show up again. I installed the drivers again and it worked normally until today a week later same issue. Any idea what causes this?
CPU: Intel i7-10700K
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z-490F
RAM: HyperX Fury DDR4 32GB
SSD/HDD: Intel 660p 1TB
GPU: XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT TD
PSU: Seasonic Focus GX550
Chassis: Svive Halo S650 Midi tower
OS: win10
Display: Asus TUF gaming 144hz
Update: The GPU shows up hidden in the device manager. When i check properties i get code 45, GPU not connected.
The minimum PSU for that card is 600w, so I would start there..
As a rule I never get anything less than 850w Gold when building a PC... (Always Seasonic too) as you have..
Also try your card in another slot if you have one.. Could be the pcie slot on it's way out..
Could be a million different things, but you gotta start somewhere..
This PC is pre-build so the PSU was not chosen by me, but just like you others also have mentioned that i should upgrade.
Last weekend i did that, i tried both but had same outcome.
Anyways, i downloaded the AMD clean up utility, deleted the drivers, downloaded it, installed it, now it works.
Any idea why?
Maybe still had some parts of the old drivers still there somewhere..
At least using the uninstall utility cleaned any remnants of old drivers..
Well, new day, same problem, when i started my pc i had the same issues as yesterday, seems like the problem just got more frequent now.
Possible solution: update the chipset driver on your motherboard; Download AMD Radeon Driver 21.10.2 for RX5700XT and DDD; Deactivate network card and Windows Update; Device installation setting to no; in safe mode with DDD delete and restart all graphics and monitor drivers, install the Radeon driver under Options Driver only without the Adrenalin software, including the monitor drivers; restart and activate the network card. This prevents the automatic installation of drivers from Windows Update or Microsoft Drivers, which can lead to such conflicts. The adrenaline software can be like a submarine, you open a window and the problems begin.
