I don't think it's using the dedicated GPU from the AMD card. So how can I make it hardware accelerated?

As I recall, 17.50 doesn't specifically support CentOS - just Ubuntu 16.04 and Redhat something-or-the-other?

Might try asking in the CentOS forums for help, they can probably be more specific on what you need to do to make it work, or if you have to downgrade to an older version that DOES work with CentOS.
