FPS drops to 3 after 15 min of gameplay

I have a Radeon RX570. Recently when I play games, for example Battlefront 2, my fps suddenly drops to an average of 3. It's been a recent problem, I haven't done any changes to the software or anything. This game usually plays great. Attached is a picture showing the average fps. I'm on drivers 20.5.1.

Check the fans on the graphics card are coming on.

It looks like thermal throttling from the little info you have provided.

Can you provide your system specs?

Ryzen 2600x

Radeon RX570 8 gigs

2 8 GB sticks of DDR4 Corsair ram

500W EVGA Bronze Power Supply

Gigabyte b450m ds3h wifi motherboard

During the first 15min or so in a game the fans are running, but then it suddenly stops to 0 rpm and that's when the fps drop hits. After checking the overlay, the graph clearly shows the fan rpms running normal than it hits down to zero.
