Force Radeon RX570 to change to proper resolution.

Hi, i have Onkyo TX-SR313. The video card is locking out res at 1080p, but the Onkyo can stream to monitor at 4k. I know because it has no issues with Blue-Ray player. This is major blow as this renders my setup useless for no reason.

i did try to look into settings, but to no avail, it is not as the good old days, now the control over my devices has been taken away and causing me major time wasting to try to figure out what is wrong. Thought the receiver was faulty, but after a while i see ATI is the one to blame.

Any ideas how to overcome this? i am very upset and frustrated at this point as this already took me whole day to try to make it work.

It sounds like you're having trouble getting your Onkyo receiver to output at its full 4K resolution, even though it's capable of doing so. Here's a brief technical summary of the steps you could try to force your Radeon RX570 graphics card to output at a custom resolution:

Open the AMD Radeon Settings control panel and select the "Display" tab.
Choose "Custom Resolutions" from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
Click the "Create" button to create a new custom resolution and enter the desired resolution.
Go back to the "Display" tab and select "Override" next to "Scaling Mode."
Choose "Full Panel" from the dropdown menu to ensure the image fills the entire screen.
Apply the changes and restart your computer if necessary.
