Hi All - Anyone else having continuous issues with EnableULPS causing crashes? 7900XTX, happened on my AM4 and AM5 boards, almost any shooter I play (mainly Destiny 2 and Avowed now) and both Windows 11. If I'm lucky I crash to desktop, but with Avowed it's a complete graphics lockup (audio still works fine) that requires a hardboot of the PC. When it happens I go through my registry and make sure all EnableULPS instances are 0'd and it fixes the issue for a long while however this last time there was another instance created even though I already changed everything after 25.2.1, so now EnableULPS is apparently procreating (and Avowed turned FSR back on). DDU doesn't remove EnableULPS registry keys, so now I have about 20 of them I have to F3 through to find the newest entries.
Why can't AMD implement a toggle in Performance to ensure EnableULPS is always off? Is it really that difficult to do when there's multiple discussions in their community about how it crashes games and Windows? I've had my 7900XTX for a while now and if EnableULPS crashes continue to be an issue, I will only be using AMD for CPU moving forward, regardless of value. I've had multiple AMD GPUs in the past and there's always been software issues (such as my 5700 wouldn't render snow correctly in Red Dead Redemption 2 for a year).
