Does Ryzen 7 7700X CPU support the VSR?
Hello.
I wonder if somebody tried the AMD VSR on the iGPU of the Ryzen 7 7700X ( Or, any other Ryzen desktop CPU without "G" suffix ).
I need VSR to take high-resolution screen captures for the figures in my documentation. VSR does a very good job for me. For example, I can take 8k resolution screenshots with my 2k monitor. The quality of the printed 8k screenshot on paper is beautiful. For this work, I don't need high-performance 3D graphics. I just need VSR.
Recently, I found that all AM5 desktop processors have small iGPUs. I eventually found that they support certain encoding and decoding, but VSR is unclear.
I would appreciate it if somebody shared their VSR experience on the iGPU in the AMD processor with the suffix "X."

VSR is intended to support in-game virtual resolutions and is not meant for 2D desktop screen captures.
VSR is officially only supported on discrete graphics including RX 5000, 6000 and 7000 series cards.

To test this, I attempted to adjust resolution within Windows desktop greater than native on my 7900XT @1440p and it did offer a greater resolution, however I attempted the same on my 5700G IGP @ 4K and there were no greater resolutions presented.

Ryzen R5 5600 | B550 Gaming Edge | 4x8GB G.Skill 3600 | Radeon RX 6800XT

Looking at 2 AMD Support pages concerning VSR it seems to be compatible only with GPU Cards and not IGPUs:
https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/DH-010.html
https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/ecosystems/vsr.html
Supported Products
Available on the following products: AMD Radeonâ„¢ RX 5000 Series, AMD Radeonâ„¢ RX 6000 Series , and AMD Radeonâ„¢ RX 7000 Series.
NOTE: I would ask AMD SUPPORT that question from here: https://www.amd.com/en/forms/contact-us/support.html
My guess is that possibly IGPUs doesn't have enough vRAM to run VSR properly or the IGPU tech is lacking .

Thank you very much for investigating.
It is supprising the 5700G iGP doesn't support VSR while 7900XT support. Probably, AMD may be not so positive to support this technology because game user is now focusing on the super resolution and frame interpolation.
Anyway, thank you very much.
