My Dell vostro 3568 running on windows 10 with intel i5 7th gen, 8 GB Ram and AMD Radeon 8500M HD graphics was running just fine and all the drivers were updated. But suddenly it crashed and blue screen dumps started. Its shows Thread stuck in device driver and the windows automatic repair couldn't fix it. So i installed the windows again and then as soon as i try to install AMD driver screen freezes and then after restart it shows TDR error and sometimes Video Management Internal. Then I have to install the window again and now I have disabled my AMD graphics card so that it doesn't automatically update. But still I have to install some software that requires graphics so but I am unbale to do install or enable the AMD graphics. So please someone guide me through it.
Run diagnostic and see if you have any defective hardware like the GPU Card: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/vostro-15-3568-laptop/diagnose
By your explanation it sound like either the laptop motherboard or GPU card went bad.
I would first update all the drivers in your laptop from Dell's Support download page: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/vostro-15-3568-laptop/drivers
I had already followed both these steps but still I'm unable to install the AMD driver and something I forgot to mention earlier is that i am able to successfully install the driver and it works fine on ubuntu
Thanks for the update.
So you have a Duel Boot on your laptop? Windows and Ubuntu?
When it comes to laptops the Intel drivers must be the latest. Especially the Intel APU processor VGA and CHIPSET drivers for the AMD Driver to work correctly.
So I would update all the Intel drivers in your laptop especially the VGA and CHIPSET and also install the latest BIOS for your laptop.
Also your Windows must be fully updated via Windows Update.
My SSD contains Windows 10 while HDD have ubuntu. My windows is fully updated and I already updated the VGA, chipset and BIOS but its the same problem
