I am aware that with virtual machines I can pass through a second video card to the vm as a dedicated graphics card for a second os. My questing is, if I got a dual gpu does amd have a system in place that lets you pass through have the card as if it is a dedicated second card? If not could these be considered as a feature for future cards? Instead of dual booting my pc between linux and windows for gaming, I would like to switch to using a vm when I have to use windows. However I like having extra pcie slots for other things, if I could do this in 1 slot it would be great.
