Can AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series run a 144hz Monitor?

Hello guys, as the title is saying, I have an old pc running AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series working with a 1920 x 1080 144h Monitor, but I can only use 60hz, nothing above.

Monitor name: DELL S2421HGF

The question would be, is there any way I can use 75hz or above with this video card, or should I consider upgrading, this is not my main pc.

Thank you for your time, best regards.

This 4 year old previous AMD thread might be useful concerning similar issue you have: max resolution of the Radeon 5750

AMDMATT - AMD Moderator answers the User's question:

Found this old previous Tech site that mentions the maximum Resolution and hz but the GPU card can go as high as 100Hz: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1065159-locked-to-100hz-on-165hz-monitor/

Most likely it doesn't support anything above 60 hz for that old GPU card.

If you do decide to upgrade make sure your PSU and strong enough to support the new GPU card.

EDIT: To find out the specific HD57xx SERIES GPU card you have, download and run GPU-Z. That will tell you the manufacturer and DEVICE ID. There is no AMD GPU card HD 5700 only HD5750 and HD5770.
