ASROCK AMD GPU HOW TO RETURN?

I see no way to do it on their site, so I wrote technical support. I bought the GPU from Microcenter about 5 months ago with a build done by them and the computer was a hot mess from the first day I got it. Afraid to give it back to them I fixed it myself, but the GPU kept flaking out. Finally, I took the GPU to Microcenter, and they told me they would service it and that I had to return it though the manufacturer. I got to the ASROCK site and don't see anything. I can add that Microcenter was very unhelpful and only after I requested, they walk me through it did they tell me to do it though the ASROCK site. I finally got sick of the GPU and installed the driver in safe mode with the Winnard uninstaller. Couple days later driver failed to load. I have since run the computer with a NVidia 1080 and a AMD 570 with no issues. I have asked if they could do an upgrade instead for the difference in price instead. I don't know if they do that.

Microcenter did indeed allow me to return it since I had tried everything, and computer was working fine with replacement AMD 580 GPU. (Really think that is a good GPU for the price by the way.) I got a gigabyte 4070 WindForce 12gb OC in its place and have had no problems with it. Ran benchmark test of all cards 7800xt is a couple frames faster than the 4070 but ray tracing is not as good as the 4070. 4070 runs a couple degrees hotter than 7800xt probably due to all that heatsinking on the 4070 blocking the airflow. Also, I noticed that cards with less memory run slightly hotter. New card is working great so far! I had the card about 5 months, and I also had them build the computer initially. Why did I wait 5 months? card worked sort of so took a while to do something about it.

Asrock has a support forum, did you try asking there.

Some card makers say return to place of purchase.

You can open a support request online.

However ASRock requires all RMA/Warranty via the authorized retailer.

ASRock provide 1 year warranty service to Authorized Distributor, users should refer to the retailer or original vender RMA & Refund policy. If experiencing difficulties in warranty service through your dealer or place of purchase, ASRock will attempt to resolve this issue.

Usually MicroCenter should send it in for warranty.
