AMD Version software compatibility - driver not working properly

Hello,

My PC crashed the other night while I was in a raid on WoW. When I restarted it, only one of my monitors is displaying, and certain apps don't display at all (i.e Battle.net), it's just a white screen.

I tried running the AMD Software Adrenalin to see if I could diagnose whether it was the GPU (RX 580), or the CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3D), wonder if it possibly got overheated.

But when I tried to open the Adrenalin software, I got a popup that says:

The version of AMD Software that you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver.

For more information on how to resolve this please go to:
(link).

I went to the link, and it suggested running the AMD Software Compatibility Tool, when I did that, I got another popup that says:

The version of AMD Software installed is already a compatible version. Please check if the AMD Display Driver is working correctly.

My questions are:

1) how do I check if the Display Driver is working correctly?

2) is it possible that my GPU got cooked, and I need to replace it?

Thank you.

It is more likely that a Windows Update has replaced your graphics driver causing this error, rather than it being a hardware problem.

AMD has just released Adrenalin 24.9.1 which is compatible with your RX 580. Try downloading and installing the new version of software.

I am having this same problem, even after manually installing the newest version (24.9.1) after awhile it will just do this again. I have tried using gpedit to turn off the windows updating the drivers but it is still happening.
