AMD Link 4K Client Issues

I have a client media center PC hooked up to a 4K 120hz TV in the living room. I'm trying to use this as an AMD Link client to receive 4K 120hz game play from a more powerful desktop PC. My gaming desktop PC, RX 6900 XT, is hooked up to a 3440x1440 175hz ultra wide.

Problem: When I use AMD Link client in the living room 4K resolutions are not available. The max resolution available is 3440x1440 which is what the AMD Link server uses. All game play is letterboxed on my TV as a result.

Anyone have any workarounds? Unfortunately virtual resolutions can't be created on my desktop, maybe cause I'm using a G Sync monitor with the hardware module?

As a former Nvidia 3090 and Nvidia Shield owner I can say GameStream didn't have these issues. GameStream created a temporary virtual resolution for the Shield to use and I was able to set my in game resolution to 3840x2160 and everything looked fine on my TV.
