Don't really understand what going on whether its software issue, I'm trying to cap fps with free sync to 144fps but the software changes it to max fps after a certain period but still has fps cap enabled to 144, basically with fps cap enabled its works for a period of time then i go back to the game and its pushing 200+fps but the frame rate target control is still enabled and nothing has changed?
I'm using frame rate target control to cap fps at 144
I also tried wait for vertical refresh but that was causing big stutters in fps frame time
things I've done
fresh install of drivers
used global settings as game profile
7800x3d 7900xtx
any help insight appreciated
