AFMF inactive

I have just installed my new 7800xt. The card works great and is a big upgrade from my previous GPU. However, I can't get AFMF working in any games I play. The games are running in fullscreen mode at my monitor's native resolution, and I have Vsync turned off. RSR is also turned off. I don't understand why it will not work.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you tried different drivers?

I have rolled back to the last driver and nothing has changed

Is Anti-Lag turned on? While not required it is recommended as well as turning on AMD boost

having the exact same issue. V-sync off, fullscreen, no other overlay active, native resolution, above 55fps and yet it just says "inactive" tried on both older drivers and the newest.
