My 7900 xtx The Merc keeps overheating while I'm playing games like fortnite, mw2, and jedi survivor

How is your case cooling? Tried removing the side panel and see if that fixes it?

I guess you are using Windows 11? I had this problem just recently, my GPU was draining 350 watts while playing, Also overheating, games crashing and pc restarting sometimes. I switched back to Windows 10 and all issues were gone, I am now getting 30% more FPS and my GPU is using 270 watts, all up and running smoothly with no issues. If you are currently on Windows 11 i suggest you switch to Windows 10!
