6800 not recognizing full CX specifications.

I am a first time pc builder who decided to build a system instead of going with the series x. I managed to get a 6800 on launch and paired it with a 5600x processor on a MSI 570 gaming plus mobo. The problem I am having is that my system is not recognizing the potential of my LG CX tv. It is only giving me the option for a max of 4k @ 60hz 8bit 4:2:0. This is in both the AMD settings and the windows display advanced settings. I know the TV is capable of much more than that with HDMI 2.1 and yes, I have a full 48Gbps hdmi cable. I have updated all the video drivers and the bios.

Also whenever I turn on the "Ultra HD Color" setting on the input for the pc it just goes black for all but the boot MSI logo.

Has anyone else experienced these issues?

*update. It works perfectly fine when I have another display connected. If I am running a second display it will load up correctly. But as soon as I disconnect the other display it reverts back to either a black screen with the enhanced color turned on or subpar color options with it turned off.
