Description of Original Problem: Random crashing while playing GPU intense games such as Starfield, Fortnite(DX12, RTX ON). Crashes come in either: 1. program stops and crashes. PC still works. 2. Game crashes, things like windows menu still available but no mouse movement. 3. Screen freezes but doesn’t switch off. 4. Green screen accompanied with buzzing for about 3 seconds before PC reboots.
Troubleshooting: I’ve tried resetting drivers, reseating GPU, RAM, running RAM at lower/higher speeds, undercoating, reseating PCIE cables, running on one monitor (I have 3; 165HZ main monitor, 60hz secondary and 60hz TV).
I’ve read online that a lot of people are having these issues because of daisy chained PCIE cables. My PSU was a very cheap one, and only has 2x8 PCIE cables in daisy chain.
This is a recent issue, it only started happening a few days ago. I have never really overclocked the card, and for the few times i did previously, it ran completely fine.
