Hi,
I'm running a desktop 6600XT on a PC that is attached to a UPS. The UPS is plenty powerful for the PC and I've connected it over USB to the PC so I can monitor the status and for the PC to be put to hibernate automatically when low on battery.
However, when on battery, the GPU core won't clock over 500MHz (VRAM clocks properly to max frequency). Windows Power Plan is configured for max performance on battery.
It's only when I disconnect the USB cable of the UPS that the GPU boosts properly. Which leads me to believe there is a registry setting affecting the performance on battery, since when no USB cable is connected Windows doesn't know it's running on a battery.
Can you implement a driver option in the future allowing me to configure performance profiles on battery? I assume laptop drivers have that option, but I don't see why desktop counterpart don't. Is there a registry key I can change to enable full GPU performance on battery?
Thanks
