1 game affected so far, mechwarrior 5, black bars in the drop ship, and FPS drop 2x view ( zoom view ) from 100 fps to 50 fps or less..

the black bars move based on head movement. and does not happen while on a mission.

this did NOT happen 19 11 drivers. this is driver related.

as always, i did a fresh install, this isnt my first time.

first thanks for the screenshots

this looks like a bizarre rendering bug with the black bars

try DDU and see if that helps clear up the bug in the game

19.12.2 is the latest driver

what actually helped was setting the game to full screen then back to windowed.

the issue went away.

i have also problems. Graphics looks ugly and i have fps drops. at the beginning the screen freezes always but when i press alt tab and back it unfreeze for 3 seconds. the freeze problem is gone with  change settings but now my battlemap is white

I can deal with the fluctuating framerates during normal play, but I have to say dropping from approx 90fps to 50fps (or less) when zooming is quiet frustrating.

hardcoregames™‌ - can you explain the massive performance drop when zooming?

Hardware:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700X

GPU: AMD Radeon 4800

Radeon Driver Version: 19.12.3

It could be a driver problem with the zoom from a rifle scope but it could be the game has an issue too.

Check with the game community and see if anyone else is in you situation box

Hi hardcoregames™‌ - I have searched the internet and have found others with the same problem.

Confirming - this ONLY happens in Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries, but does NOT happen in other games.  I wonder if it is some sort of code bug where it is rendering/drawing the entire scene rather than the zoomed scene?

This problem does not happen zoomed out

I guess the game needs to be patched plain and simple
