Why is my cursor lagging/skipping in desktop and sometimes in games, I tried disabling HDCP but no results. [RX550, core i3 9100F, 4GB ram]

While browsing the web, using the taskbar or the Adrenalin Control etc my cursor skips/stutters.

My specs

  • AMD SAPPHIRE RX 550
  • Intel Core i3 9100F
  • A stick of Kingston 4GB DDR4 RAM

I tried disabling HDCP but no luck, the problem still persists.

I tried re-downloading the drivers for the mouse and the problem still persists.

I switched from Win8.1 to Win10 three times already, but still no changes.

This happens after downloading the Adrenalin software

Hello. Have you found a solution to the problem?

I have the same problem after upgrading from an old 2019 driver to Adrenalin 20.11.2

Mouse keyboard Freezing/Stuttering on Windows Desktop and any 2d apps

The following things stop the freezing though they are certainly not a solution:

Physically disconnect my second Monitor (pull out DVI cable)

Run any 3d application in a Window

System:

Radeon RX480 (Asus Rog Strix)

AMD Ryzen 3600

MSI B450 pro max

I have the same problem! when i run a 3D aplication, the lag is gone. looks like the video card won't work properly at idle? HOW TO SOLVE THIS? i have to run GPU BENCHMARK just to have a smooth cursor? F

Yes! I fixed it! You won't believe how silly it its! it has to do with your mouse DPI and polling rate! just decrease your mouse DPI and polling rate and it will fix it

polling rate 250hz/4 ms

and 500DPI works fine for me..

I tried decrease the DPI and polling rate and the problem persisted... Guess I'll just have to get used to it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

But thanks for the answer anyway.
