w5100 ubuntu 18.04 driver install issue

I try to install the driver for Firepro W5100. After restart the screen always stays on purple screen but nothing else happens. Can anybody help what I could try to fix this issue! thanks

I tried the 19.Q1. I can't give you the output because when I install it and restart the computer it just stays on purple screen. Only way to get it running again if I reinstall ubuntu.

At AMD Download the latest driver 19.Q1 is listed under Ubuntu 18.04.1 and not 18.04.2. Not sure if that slight update is the reason why you are having issues. Maybe something in 18.04.2 is not completely compatible with 19.Q1: FirePro™ W5100 Drivers & Support | AMD
